A donation of £2,000 from Rayleigh Lions has helped Edward Francis School fund a new £20,000 sensory room.

The sensory room supports children with varying educational needs. Nina Rowan, School Inclusion Manager at Edward Francis explained, ‘The sensory room provides a safe and inviting space which can be used by many of our children who have a variety of additional needs. The room serves those with Autism, sensory dysregulation, emotional dysregulation, as well as offering a private space to offer counselling to our bereaved children who have lost parents. It will also be a space where the physiotherapists and occupational therapists can support our children who are wheelchair users or who have limited mobility.’
