Fundraising
The club run various activities to produce income that lets us support the various charities, individuals and the various organisation that we help. Below is a sample of these events.
Unlike many other charities, Lions does not use the cash given to us for administration purposes. The costs of running the club are meet by the members subscriptions.
We are always carefully monitor the causes we support; in some cases providing match funding, this help in making sure the monies achieve our objectives.
Some of our Fundraising Activities:
Annual Charity Firework Display
The annual firework display has been part of Rayleigh for the last 40years.
This is our main Fundraising event and is held every year in November at King Georges Playing Field Rayleigh.
Yearly Quiz Night
The quiz is normally takes place at the Hullbridge Community Centre, and has been running for several years.
The prizes for first, second, and third place winners is donated to the winners chosen charity.
Christmas Sleigh Collection
The Sleigh is part of our community service. The Sleigh Collections usually start with the Rayleigh Town Christmas Light Switch on, where you can find Father Christmas at the top of the High Street.

Friends of Lions Charity Shop.
We have a charity shop in Hockley which also provides us with funds out of the shops profits. So if you have any items destined for a charity shop why not donate them to our shop. All monies from the shop go towards the various causes we support.
