RAYLEIGH LIONS DONATE £300 TO HELP LAUNCH NEW SUPPORT SERVICES FOR BEREAVED PEOPLE

Rayleigh & Rochford Voluntary Services (RRAVS) ‘New Steps’ will extend their existing friendship group with new monthly Bereavement Workshops and Support Groups.
Rayleigh Lions have helped to launch two new support services for bereaved people by donating £300 to assist with their running costs.
Rayleigh & Rochford Voluntary Services (RRAVS) ‘New Steps’ will extend their existing friendship group with new monthly support group and workshops.
The existing friendship group offers an opportunity to meet and socialise with others who have experienced loss and always offers a warm welcome to all who want to drop in for support or simply chat and a cup of tea.
A series of new Bereavement Workshops aims to provide an opportunity to get a better understanding of the nature of loss and grief. People will gain an understanding of what they are experiencing and know that they are not alone in how they are feeling. A new monthly Support Group provides an opportunity to meet and talk to others who know the pain of loss.
These new groups run for six months, and meet on Tuesdays at the Rayleigh Baptist Church, who are kindly providing free use of their premises.
