Rayleigh Lions Donate new Ambulance

Rayleigh Lions have donated a new ambulance to the St John Ambulance.
The second-hand Crusader vehicle will be used by St John at public events to provide
mobile treatment.
The vehicle can be used as a first aid post, for patient transport or as an emergency
ambulance.
Crusader vehicles were first built in 1988 for the Order of St John historic Centenary.
Built upon a Renault Master Chassis the familiar design is now a core part of St John Ambulance’s corporate identity and the pride of the organisation.
Divisonal Superintendent John Daniels said “Most of our public duties are outdoors and
it is absolutely terrific that we now have a modern first aid unit to use as a treatment area.
It will certainly be well used and I cannot thank the Lions enough for their
kindness.”
St John Ambulance recently launched comunity first aid training and anyone wishing to
learn this vital subject can contact John on 0775 9575089 for details of their local
training centre.
